About
Fleas are small, wingless insects that are most often associated with furry household pets. These parasites find their food source from the blood of animals. Fleas generally enter the home while riding on their host, a mouse, cat or dog, and will jump off into your living space. There are two primary problems that come with flea infestations. The first is that they bite any animals around, including humans, causing itchiness and mild swelling. In some cases, these bites will also result in an allergic reaction or transmit a disease. The second problem with an infestation is that they are tedious to remove and require treatment of the host(s), infested areas, and preventative measures. Because of the uncertainty of DIY treatment, homeowners are encouraged to allow a professional to inspect and treat their home with proven, strategic methods.
